🌊 Today We Have World Oceans Day!
On this special occasion, we are thrilled to announce the results of the 2026 I Live by the Sea International Photo and Film Contest.
Since its launch in 2017, the contest has brought together 1,843 participants from 36 countries!
Our guiding motto is: WE ALL LIVE BY THE SEA.
Because we all do — no matter how far we live from the coast. Whether we’re right by the beach or high up in the mountains, we all have a significant impact on the ocean. And it’s up to us whether that impact is positive or negative.
We believe that the opportunity to connect with people from different parts of the world is incredibly valuable. By allowing young creators to take part in the contest — and offering them the chance to showcase their work during key ocean-focused events across the globe — we help promote not only their home regions, but also their personal view of the world around them.
🌍 This year, we received entries from 17 countries: Croatia, Estonia, France, Gibraltar (UK), Greece, India, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States.

The exhibition of winning photos, together with selected films and stories, opens on 8 June at Gdynia Aquarium, Poland.
